The Owens-Illinois Auburn, NY facility is seeking a dedicated and reliable Production/Selecting Operator
Responsibilities:
1. Follows all department and plant SOPs and policies.
2. Performs housekeeping and cleaning duties
3. Visually inspects ware at the light station and discards defective ware when job requires.
4. Monitors lines for any mechanical problems.
5. Tends case packer for proper operation which includes loading cartons, partitions, etc. into machine.
6. Tends inverter for proper operation.
7. Checks ware on filled case conveyor, filling cartons as required, checks carton conditions for proper gluing and appearance.
8. Must be able to operate a forklift.
Position Requirements
Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age.
High School Graduate or GED.
2 year degree or higher education is preferred.
1- 3 years of work related experience or a combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated successful work experience.
Good communication skills. Must be able to understand instructions, and communicate quality and safety issues.
Good teamwork skills to work with shift crew.
Must be able to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis
Must be able to work a 12 hr. shift, 4 on 3 off, 3 on 4 off schedule. Either Sun, Mon, Tues or Thurs, Fri, Sat. and every other Wed.
Post Secondary Education or Mechanical Background preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
